So I have a Smart Cover (not keyboard) for my iPad and it holds the iPad up just fine in landscape. I've never needed any kind of TextBlade stand to do that for me.
If you really want to carry your iPad without any cover at all, then I think there are several third party stands that will hold the iPad better - some are designed to let you change the angle, some hold it in any orientation, etc.
The two sizes of NanoStand are effectively identical except for the width of the slot. They hold my phone really well, and at a nice angle for typing, but I find I use my iPad in different orientations more often than my phone.
Not trying to give the impression that I don't think there could be cool stuff in this area, but the NanoStand where it's at right now does an excellent job of holding a phone and I've found other solutions to be more flexible for the iPad.
I do think there have been some pics up here of people using two NanoStands to hold an iPad in landscape, which is extra cool because of how they both store on the TextBlade and all that means structurally.
