It's taken me a while to fully commit to using no other keyboard but I'm now 100% TextBlade. I must admit, closures are incredibly easier to type.
Aside from my ultimate wish, which would be for a much improved feedback / state mechanism, can't we emulate a mouse? When I've used the test readouts before I notice touch is detected way before any key is pressed. I'm thinking Mark would have implemented this if he could, perhaps Blackberry have this tech on patent lockdown.
The huge row of white led's though, aside from a battery charge level indicator, I find it perplexes the hell out of me. Not knowing which group of led's mean what makes them useless in my opinion. Sometimes i just have a single led and I've no idea what state it's in; I end up mashing keys until it goes out.
Lithographing on the spaceblade 'Caps', 'Num', etc is obviously not what I would want. Could these 10 leds not be rearranged into a small icon readout display?
I heard they make super nice super thin high res AMOLED's nowadays We could even reduce the amount of connections to 3 and just use voltage and SPI instead of +- for 10 diodes. Hmmmm AMOLED.... maybe textblade 2.
Yup, totally an led rant, but emulating a mouse would be a nice touch (see what I did?)
