I never thought I would write anything in this forum which I visited time to time, with growing disappointement and boring. But today is a special date. Three years and a couple of days ago I bought a keyboard that was supposed to be delivered in three months...
The keyboard interested me -and still does- for its innovative technology, for its extreme portability, for its aesthetics. Besides in my work I traveled a lot, which reinforced my interest. But three years is a long time in a man's life. I left my job (by the way, I´ve been using a 20 $ solar bluetooth Logitech keyboard which fits in my Ipad case and works OK, in spite of various IOS changes) .
The first two reasons of interest continue to be maintained. And a third added since then: curiosity. How will this end ...?
We all -customers- feel the communication we receive is very bad, you know.
But the real problem seems to be that - apparently - there is not much to communicate. Since September of last year -least- nothing new has happened. Arguing that perfection is being sought already sounds like an error, or an excuse.
When somebody complains seriously, one of the "hundreds" of TREGgers receives a keyboard and praises arise again: it's cool, it's incredible, it is the best in keyboard´s history. It seems that also cures occupational diseases. I really hope it would, someday. I deeply dislike seeing people begging to be TREGgers in order to get a keyboard. Sounds more like save yourself that anything else. It is very unfair. And outrageous for many of us.
If three years is a long time in a life, it is a lot of time in technology. When I bougth Textblade, Iphone 6 was the newest in the market (then came 6s, 6 plus, SE, 7-p-s,8-p-s, X, etc). Falcon rockets had not landed safetely (It happened almost an year later). But certainly those are gigantic companies with huges investments in I+D.
We have been trusting in Waytools for three years. But we know almost nothing about the Company. It is strange: every company, however small, proudly presents its members and products.
What opens other questions:
Is the project sustainable? Why nobody else is interested in this technology that seems so good and innovative? Are there inherent problems in design that are insurmountable?
And mainly: How vulnerable is the product to the decisions of others? (the main question of DBK in this forum remains remains unanswered (it was about an issue with Macs. WT comment was "We’re hopeful Apple will correct this soon". DBK asked "Did Apple actually say anything about solving this or are you just hopeful they will?" What if Apple doesn't do anything or at least doesn't do anything for a long time? Would it be a gating issue?").
After three years it is time for WT to make a clear statement: setting an accurate date for a General Release, or announcing if they are is giving up. WT should know and we deserve to know.
Saying a part of the truth is not telling the truth. "A company that gives customers direct control over refunds at all times, does not suggest dishonesty. A customer who is not pleased, cancels" said Knighton (the same person who promised on Jan 28, 2015, to Donate $ 1,000,000 in TextBlades to Schools https://www.prnewswire.com/news/waytools. I really hope he could, someday).
Obviously I can not be "pleased" being that I paid three years ago for something I did not receive yet. What could be satisfactory or pleasing in that? I am patient, not pleased... I did not ask Waytools to keep my money. I bought a keyboard. A keyboard! Which I remain waiting. I emphasize that I don´t want to be refunded (unless Waytools gives up). Rant Zone is a space opened by Waytools for complaints about anything waytools is doing or how is doing it -as they said-, which I took advantage to make these long reflections. Forgive me for that. But really it´s been WaytooLong.
