Going through the update, I think it can be summarized as:
- Hardware continues to look very good and, considering how many months this has been the case, there is far less chance than something will be found in this area. They refer to the KB11 version not needing any changes this past quarter - a good long time - but to me I think it is better than that. As they say, many of the changes have been very minor, but I've tracked the last three relatively big changes and the last of those goes all the way back to, I think, October. So about 6 months without any major change (at least that I know of).
There is still the question of finishing the new paint tests. Would be nice to have some idea of how long that will take, assuming no problems are found.
- Which leaves us with software/firmware. Improvements across the board, but it seems the only notable issue continues to be with connection related things, whether pairing, connecting when turned on, jumping from slot to slot.
Unfortunately, I don't think I saw anything that would give me any idea of how close we are or, if there is nothing else WT thinks they can do to make it better (because of changes in iOS, etc), would they just accept that and ship anyway.
We do know a lot of progress has been made, which I and other treggers can confirm from our own experience. And, yep, that lack of good idea of how long things may take is going to be very frustrating.
I do hope that we don't have to wait for smaller updates until the end spring though! I still think brief weekly updates is good. Certainly no less than monthly.
