Corwinjr - There are currently many android users in treg. App is not required to use TextBlade with different hosts. App is a config tool to change how TextBlade is set up.
We now have an iOS-native app which is the config tool during treg. Android users currently access an iOS host if they want to change their config, but don’t need it for daily use.
Android-native app exists in prelim dev form. Once the iOS-native app is validated and functions are locked down from treg, we will do the main sw work to render a full consumer android version. This work will start after GR.
We have a separate dev path to provide a web-based, platform independent config tool. More work than just android-only version, but this will allow any user on any platform with cloud access to perform all config functions without need for iOS or android. Planned after GR, and expect to have it after android version. Ultimately, full platform-agnostic config tool is the main goal for the steady-state.
Operating (vs. reconfiguring) TextBlade is already platform-agnostic. Have Bluetooth 4+, will travel, today.
