Hello out there to any people using Windows that would like to get used to some of the TextBlade key layout on a traditional keyboard. I've recently updated my AutoHotKey scripts (refer to earlier in the thread) to support the Modifier key combinations as well as some minor tweaks.
Personally, I've started using this on a daily basis and starting to get used to the changed mappings and the reduced finger stretch even on a standard keyboard. I must say I'm definitely looking forward to this aspect of the TextBlade as well as all the other wonderful things that have been described extensively by the TREG group.
The "Win" key combo doesn't work unfortunately This seems to be a limitation of the way AutoHotKey works and the workarounds to make it work correctly don't fit well with the approach I've used to map the keys. Not a big issue for me, so I've not spent much time attempting to fix that limitation.
I am starting to like the Edit keys as I use this more regularly. I'm also starting to get used to the symbol remapping, though this is taking longer as I don't use these as often. Will need to practice purely on symbols to gain proficiency in these placements. Some of these changes are nice even on a traditional keyboard, though I can't wait to get my TextBlade!!!
I hope someone else out there finds this useful as they await their TextBlade arrival
