Dbk - this first step provides a new map for emacs users, where CTRL is mapped to both the home key and the left hot corner.
Emacs users can use either location, or both, and can also delete any unused location and replace it with other functions via the MultiMap editor.
This provides a way to have CTRL where emacs users like to have it, right now.
After we’ve migrated over to the new code fork, we’ll also update the map and macro editor to allow placing the CTRL key at any arbitrary location, as well as including it into macro sequences.
If you’re not an emacs user, no need to change anything on your setup.
Emacs users can download the emacs map from the cloud, and try it out starting today.
Please let us know how it works out for you emacs aficionados in the field.
We also plan to make a more extensively specialized version with other functions that are optimized for emacs users. Please chime in here if you have special requests for that, and we’ll pool the ideas into a subsequent release of the map.
