Chording has come up on a number of threads, mostly wrt specific devices.
I’ve been wondering about the merits of mixing limited chording with standard QWERTY. It seems as if gradually adding in chords to take over common long or difficult words would be advantageous.
From my limited understanding chording is usually a phonetic scheme? Is there a standard widely accepted layout and approach for chording on qwerty?
Personally I’d never want to commit to learning a propriety device or key layout, but gradually mixing in chords on a standard device seems like a ‘no cost’ way of making incremental improvement.
Another approach might be to find a way to analyse my email for commonly used phrases and hotkey a bunch of them.
