I took from their last substantive update that shipping would definitely not occur in Q1. It seemed pretty clear they expected to be very busy through Q1 addressing issues. Assuming they have resolved those issues by the end of March, I view this product as just closing out the Engineering Verification phase with some aspects of Design and Process Verification already underway. I would expect Waytools to spend the next 9 months working on sustaining engineering to stabilize the TB on the manufacturing line and lower its infant mortality rate, address low incidence defects and up its yield.
If @waytools believes it is further along than this, I hope they'll say so! But note: their belief in how far along they are is mitigated by the reality that mass production of intricate hardware is very difficult and full of surprises. As such, they may be reluctant to characterize where they see themselves in the process.
One question that I wish they could answer is this: With respect to hardware, can you now say that no new engineering design changes will be passed to your manufacturer? Are we all process verification from today through manufacturing bring-up?
