Uh, I don't think so. While there are certainly Treg testers who take the view that WayTools is correct in getting it better before shipping or who are at least willing to say it is up to WayTools to decide when it is good enough, there are things they do not agree with at all. For example:
I don't know of anyone who thinks it was good to charge cards prior to shipping. WT may have had a legitimate reason, but from what I've read from them, I don't see anything that couldn't be determined just as well by simply placing the order without charging the card.
I don't know of anyone who is happy about the lack of communication. At best there may be some who just say they aren't going to worry about it and just wait and see what happens. But I think even they would like more updates.
Don't recall anyone praising them instituting a refund which wasn't asked for. There may be a legal reason for doing so but, even if there is, I think it the customer refunded was sometimes not nearly upset enough to justify even that.
Don't recall anyone approving the suspension or reduction in posting rights of some members. Now, make no mistake, there are SOME of them whom I really wouldn't defend, even if I wouldn't have suspended them myself. IOW, I don't actually object to a few. But, as with the forced refunds, there are plenty that I see no reason for it.
The difference with some of us is that, while we don't agree with some of WT's decisions, we don't find it necessary to rehash it over and over again, especially in nasty ways as some have in the past.
BTW, I have no problem with what you posted. Except for that one thing I addressed.
then of course dabigkahuna countdown of hope
Well, yeah, they'll probably be more of those! But it just my way of putting some pressure on them without being mean about it.
BTW, found an interesting post of yours (very old - before I was even a member here). You may have changed your opinion, but it actually fits how I've felt all along and, when I do get frustrated, I remind myself that, other than the time elapsed, my view has not changed:
Like all of you I have been waiting... and waiting... and waiting... but let's face it you are all getting upset over a keyboard and the only reason you are upset is because this thing is freaking cool and you want it! For those of you that appear to be so smart about what it takes to do what these guys have done and nobody else has... maybe just stand back and STFU. Give them some credit.. they know they have to ship a good product and they know the pressure of getting it right... because you see it is their company and their reputation... not yours. Agreed the communications could be better... but jesus... so could every company in the market and so if the ship window slips... it slips...and then if it slips again... it slips... you have a keyboard and the option to cancel if it bothers you that much... but you won't cancel. Why? Because this is a freaking cool product! So Chill and have a beer.. To the team at WayTools... I appreciate the fact you are not willing to ship unless it is right... and when it does arrive... it will be a very cool day!!
Being a Treg tester, I can at least confirm that it is indeed, "freaking cool".
I hope they'll post a big update soon (we deserve it) and include more info about gating issues. Is it just the connections? How have their tests gone on production yield rates? All kinds of things I'd love to see ruled out or provided as things they have to still deal with.
